1. Water Bottle Unedited: 9-30-09; 4:30pm – Sandy, Utah; f 3.5; 1/250; Sony DSC-H50
2. Water Bottle Edited: Complete cutout with the quick selection tool then refined edges on white
I took this picture while on a hike in the mountains near the church rock quarry just outside Sandy, Utah. To make this edit I used the quick selection tool to select the water bottle then selected inverse and deleted the background. I then reselected the water bottle and refined the edges.

Great work on capturing the color blue. I love that you saw the blue in the temple, an I really love the mountain picture. the blue shirt sets off some lovely bule tones in the mountain and it is relaly quite lovely.
ReplyDeletewhoops... that last comment was supposed to be on the color post... anyways, this cut out is really great. You did a good job softening the edges and making a bit of a shadow.
ReplyDeleteYour cutout is amazing as well. It must have been hard making sure those small crevices weren't included in the cutout...I also like the angle of the picture!
ReplyDeleteGood job on the cutout! It looks really good and clean.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, very simple and looks great. I am impressed which is a big deal by the way. It really isn't a big deal to impress me, but the photo is the best
ReplyDeleteThis cutout is super realistic. Blurry where it should be, sharp when it should be. You did a great job.
